Blogs... They honestly were not hard to do. My problem was to get to the computer and post them on time. Blogger was easy to use. At first i found it a bit hard to write a post but it was just i wasnt seeing the button. Adding pictures was easy as well. The blogger, to me was easy to use. i liked it very much.
The entries were reasonably challenging at times. They were never very hard and it was nice that we had the choice of multiple topics to pick from. the deadlines, although i always failed to meet them, was actully a reasonable and fair time. however if we did have the blog due the day before the actually day in which we would comment on each other's posts, that would have been nicer. But having a deadline is a good idea because when we have to write in our comments, there was always a blog to comment on.
i found it rather intersting to read other's blogs. they would always have a different view of the post that i mightnot have thought of or fully agreed with. it was nice to read other peoples ideas and point of views.
Blogging was less stressful compared to in class essays or handing in essays for an english class. With the blogging, as long as you read, you were able to answer the questions quickly and even run with it reaching the 250 word minimum easily.
I personally won't continue blogging unless it's for a class. Blogs have never been my thing and i'm not much of a writter. so i don't get a thrill in posting blogs for personal use. But if i'm in another class that has us doing blogs i would happily continue with the blogs.

Blog 9: So Guildenstern and Rosencrantz go to't...
Hamlet's explanation to Guildenstern and Rosencrantz's death is that they brought it upon themselves. They were puppets to the kings orders and they deserved what they got. I can see why Hamlet finds justice in his action, however I cannot agree with him. He should have spared his friends. He knew that they were just pawns to Claudius plans. " 'Tis dangerous when the baser nature comes/ Between the pass and fell incensed points/ Of mighty opposites." He acknowledges that they were following orders and yet he still set them off to their death in England. Hamlet seems to be the type of person who's the agent of justice. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern wronged him, their death= justice. Polonious was a busybody, his death= justice. And King Claudius "killed his king, made his mother into a whore, took the crown from him, and plotted to kill him," through his death= justice. This shows that Hamlet does not tolerate disloyalty and he does not tolerate betrayal.

Blog 8: Polonius' report

Hamlet seems to be unstable or gone "mad." With the permission of the king and queen I was set off to determine to what extent his madness is at. When I approached him, he called me a "fishmonger" not recognizing who I was. Then he talked about honesty in men, and then the topic changed to maggots on a dead dog. After that he asked if I had a daughter. Our conversations had no straight path to it. He would jump from one topic to another but manages to keep a connection with them. It was as if he was compiling a conversation with fragments of other conversations. I felt as if there was a method to his madness. This state in which Prince Hamlet is found, I believe, is triggered by love. When he spoke briefly of my daughter "Conception is a blessing, but as your daughter may conceive." I believe he wants my daughter to marry. His words seem cryptic and disconnected with the world. I fear for him. He's madden by love which is making him speak of odd things that somehow connect to one another. Though this be madness, yet there is method in't.
Blog 6: Emilia's Diary

Finally! I had done something my dear husband Iago has asked me to do. It was a strange request to get my hands on my lady's handkerchief. What use does he have for it? Whatever the reason, I doubt it's for any malice. I'm just very happy that he was in such a better mood with me. He was so happy to have that silly little trinket the Moor gave my lady. Oh I hope she doesn't ask me of it. I know how much she cherishes it. But if she does I must do as Iago told me and "Be not acknown on't." The things i do to please him...
Oh curses! She asked! and I known not of it. But oh my poor lady the jealous rage that Moor set off. My poor poor lady she had to endure such tantrum. I wish I can tell her that I gave my husband the handkerchief but I promised not to. Why must I keep this loyalty of matrimony? I wish he never asked me for that handkerchief... My poor poor lady, please forgive me!

Blog 3: Hero's side

I was engaged to a handsome, young, strong, soldier. We were very much in love and couldn't wait to get married. Our engagement was 1 week long. He was the sweetest man but on our wedding day he turned out to be an awful villain! In front of everyone he accused me of being unfaithful. He said that I shared my bed with another man! How could that be? I am innocent and he damned me. The man in which I thought loved me would not believe me when I said that he was truly mistaken. Because of all the accusations from him and Don Pedro, a well trusted friend of my father, AND my father's doubt of me! I was overwhelmed. I couldn't breathe. I fainted. How can Claudio humiliate me in such a way? I thought he loved me. When I woke from the faint, he was gone. The priest suggested to send me to a nunnery but not before trying to deceive the whole city that I was dead. And through that deception we were able to see if Claudio truly loved me. Alas, he did not care for my death. He mocked my father and uncle. Oh my foolish heart! How can I have loved such a wretched man? and because of that man, I am here in this nunnery, locked away from the world. He has caged, dishonored, tainted me, my name, and my family. I will never to be married! Oh what a rotten card the world has dealt me!

Blog 5: unnatural
According to the Oxford Dictionary, Unnatural is something or someone 1. not in accordance or conformity with the physical nature of persons or animals 2.Not in accordance or agreement with the usual course of nature
Throughout Act1, Brabantio feels strongly about his daughter’s relationship with Othello to be “unnatural.” The fact that Othello is black and not white made the relationship unimaginable. Skin color is the only thing that has Brabantio against this relationship. Because Othello is not of lighter color he is not worthy of being with Desdemona. According to Brabantio, all the good, achievements, and accomplishment in which Othello has done he is still not worthy to be with his daughter Desdemona. Unfortunately the father only sees color and over looks everything else.
These days there is still racism and people still look at interracial marriages as something wrong. I believe that if I was to bring home a black man as my boyfriend, my parents would have a problem at first. I remember hearing from my mom while growing up, to consider the way society would look at you. You would not be able to fit anywhere, not with the blacks and not with the whites, think about your children! Yeah. I think they would have a problem at first. But if they get to know the guy and see how we love each other they might just accept it. I do not believe that they would be vicious to him or rude to him. But they would most probably feel awkward at first but then when they get to know him, they will overlook his skin color and accept him.
I think that interracial marriages are still very hard to be accepted by societies in many places in the world. I believe that the reason why it is condemned or illegal is due to the fact people are scared of different. People are scared of being different or being related to different. For example, they can be of different skin color, but with the same belief systems and people will still be against it. It is just like Desdemona and Othello, both Christian, similar values if not the same, good social standings, and yet her father is against the marriage. Unfortunately there are people who are very narrow minded and choose not to accept a change or the different allows racism to continue. Luckily people are constantly fighting against prejudices and racism through education and interaction

A marriage of true minds?
Sonnet 116
Let me not to the marriage of true mindes
Let me not to the marriage of true mindes
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration findes,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no! it is an ever fixed marke,
That lookes on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring barke,
*Whose worths unknowne, although his hight be taken.
Love's not Times foole, though rosie lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come,
Love alters not with his breefe houres and weekes,
But beares it out even to the edge of doome.
If this be error, and upon me prov’d,
I never writ, nor no man ever lov’d.
Beatrice and Benedick, a marriage of true minds?
Well i think so. They learned to appreciate each others and see how compatible they truly are. No one would be able to keep up with their wit. They learned to value each other and realized the respect they had for each other became love. Their snide comments challenged each other and kept them entertained. I believe that when they realized that they can actually be civil with each other, that's was when they realized their true feelings for each other. Their marriage after the play, i can only imagine, that they will bicker and keep each other's wit in check. but at the end of the night they'll be happy that they are together. Their kiss at the end can be interpreted into two ways, a symbol of their love and harmony they learned to share or to stop the Beatrice's mouth from running. I think it symbolizes both. I see it as a tender action, yes to shut her up but it shows that with that kiss she allows him to fold her stubbornness to a man who is her match.
